Add Instructions for Event Tickets: You can now add special instructions for customers attending a specific event. In each of your event ticket products, there is a new field for Email Instructions. Instructions can then be included in the Event Ticket Confirmation email by adding the tag.

PAX Device Receipt Printing: If using the PAX a920 Pro EMV device, when payment is complete on the POS, there is a new button to print a receipt directly from the device.

Display Improvements on the POS

Discounts: The previous “Coupons” window is now called “Discounts”. From here you can now view both applied promotions and coupons with the total discounted amount from each.
Table Seating: For guest orders where a location and table was assigned, you can now view the information in the cart summary.

Start a Tab on the POS: Click “Tab” at the bottom right of a POS cart to open a Tab and pre-auth a card. When the Customer is ready to pay, complete the Order without the need to collect payment again. ** Only available with Fullsteam Payments. Learn more

Packing Slips with Bundles: When a bundle is an Order, the packing slip now displays both the main bundle SKU and the sub SKUs to make it easier for staff to see all products included.

ShipCompliant Bulk Check Fulfillment: While the system automatically checks ShipCompliant for updates to Orders completed in the last 90 days, if the Order is older than that, previously you'd have to check the fulfillment individually. On the Orders page under the “Actions” menu, there is a new option so that you can check the fulfillment status for Orders in ShipCompliant in bulk.

Customer Dynamic Tags: Two new dynamic Customer Tags have been added for “Club Membership Signup Date” and “Loyalty Tier”.

Order Display for Gift Cards: When a gift card is purchased, the completed order in Admin and POS now display the applicable recipient email address or gift card code. For gift cards being purchased on the POS, when a specific gift card code is entered, it is now displayed in the cart.

Subscribe Confirmation Emails: Previously, customers were only sent a subscribe confirmation email when they opted-in via a subscribe form online. Now, they are also sent a confirmation email when subscribed through Admin or through their account settings online.

Order Tracking Links: Tracking numbers on fulfilled orders in Admin are now linked. Click the tracking number to view the status on the applicable carrier website. (Please note that tracking numbers added with a carrier of “Other” will not have a link).

Fullsteam Debit Processing: For clients using Fullsteam as your payment processor, due to recent improvements, debit-only transactions are now accepted again and will process at the same time as credit transactions - even for those who have adjusted their batch processing time.

Disable Kitchen Tickets or Table Management on the POS: If you don't currently use the kitchen ticket or table management features on the POS, you now have the option to disable either functionality to ensure that workflows continue to streamlined for staff and distractions are removed. The settings to disable/enable can be found under Settings > POS Profiles.

Email Domain Security with DMARC / DKIM: New security standards from Google and other emailing platforms are starting to require that you enable DMARC / DKIM in your domain name registrar. While your domain name registrar is outside of Commerce7, if these settings are enabled and your email security has been increased for your domain name, you'll need an additional update inside of Commerce7 so that transaction emails will continue to send. If you have access to Settings, under Email, you'll see a new area for Email Sending. Register your domain to generate additional DNS entries for DMARC and DKIM. Read more here

One-Click-Checkout Gift Message and Delivery Instructions: We've had feedback that logged in customers are not aware that they can add a gift message or delivery instructions since they're automatically progressed to the last step of Checkout. We've added a new message under the shipping address that displays if no gift message or delivery instructions have been added.

Fullsteam (Commerce7 Payments) Processing: For clients using Fullsteam as your payment processor, you now have the option to adjust batch processing times from the default of 6:05pm PST. Email our team at support@commerce7.com and we'll assist you in changing the time. (Initially with this change, debit-only cards could no longer be accepted, but as of Feb 29, they are accepted again and processed at the credit batch time.)

Collect Customer Details for Event Ticket Sales Online: If an order being placed online includes a product not being shipped, like an event ticket, guest customers will now be asked for First Name, Last Name, and Phone in addition to Email. This ensures that you have the customer details required to check them in.

New App: ShipStation Custom Store: MarsBytes Apps has created a new app that allows you to sync orders from Commerce7 to ShipStation for fulfillment. Fulfillment through ShipStation will then be synced back to Commerce7 to fulfill orders automatically. Learn more

Quickly Assign a Table to a POS Cart: While adding a cart, when you search for a customer, you will see a new table icon appear on the right. Click it to add the customer and assign a table right away. If you're adding a customer to an existing order, the same icon and option will appear. (You can still assign or edit a table after the cart is created through the actions menu.)

View Reservation Numbers and/or Assigned Tables from the POS Cart: Carts that are attached to reservations, will now display the reservation number and assigned table in the cart summary. The reservation number can be clicked to quickly go to the reservation and the table number can be clicked to edit the assigned table in the POS.

Ability to Undo Reservation Check-In: If you check in a reservation accidentally, you now have the ability to undo it from the actions dropdown, updating the reservation to the previous status. If the reservation was already charged on check-in, payment will not be affected and they will not be charged in the future.

CRV Fee with Avalara: If you are using Avalara for taxes, the California Redemption Value fee is now integrated and will be applied automatically to applicable California orders.

Reporting for Product Bundles: When a product bundle is sold, the Closing and Sales By SKU reports now attribute sales to the sub SKUs rather than the main bundle SKU to allow for more accurate reporting. For example, previously product bundle taxes could not be included in the Sales by SKU report, with this change, sales and taxes are attributed to the sub SKUs instead.

Edit History on Club Package and Club and Subscription Shipments: For Club Packages, view the history of the club setup and products with the ability to restore to a previous version if the package is still in “Planning” mode. For Club & Subscription shipments, find a list of SKUs, quantities, and any price overrides and restore to a previous version.

Apply Coupons to Reservations Online: You can now set up Coupons that Customers can apply to Reservations online. Coupons can only be applied to Reservation Experiences that are set to charge “On Booking”.

Override Taxes on an Order: Tax values can now be overridden on Orders or Refunds. If you need to make an individual tax or custom tax set to $0.00 for a Customer, you can now do so through Admin or the POS. For CA wineries, this will also allow you to adjust the charge amount for the CRV fee if necessary for onsite pours.

California Redemption Value fee (CRV): To comply with updates to the California Beverage Container Recycling Program, Commerce7 will automatically calculate and apply the California Redemption Value fee to applicable California. The setting to collect the CRV is enabled by default, but can be edited under Custom Taxes. To learn more, click here.
