Reporting Dashboard [Beta]: The new Report Dashboard provides an overview of your performance. At a glance, see a summary of your sales and orders, with some brand new data such as Average Order Value broken down by Customer Type. Please note that this is the first iteration of the Dashboard and we are working on additional enhancements to make it more functional for your reporting needs.
Club Memberships on the Customer Record: To access club memberships for a customer quickly, we've moved Club Membership information from the “Profile” tab to now it's own tab.

Shipment Actions on the Club Membership: When viewing a club membership, under the Shipments tab, you can now perform the actions of “Skip”, “Unskip”, or “Process” without having to click into each.
Channel Editing on Carts: With the introduction of Sales Attributes, we removed the ability to edit the Channel on carts. We've added this back temporarily so that you are able to finish year end reporting. To simplify settings, we plan to remove it again in February 2025.
Club Shipment Email Errors: Previously, if there was an Admin error with a customer's upcoming club shipment, it would prevent the shipment reminder emails from being sent. Now, if there is an issue, the club shipment emails will still send and not affect the customer's experience, while the Admin is able to view and address the problem.

Order Sales Attributes: We've introduced a new field on orders called Sales Attribute that allows you to group and segment your sales into custom buckets. By default there are 4 sales attributes; one for each of the order channels, but you have the option to create your own. The field is fully editable on carts and completed orders so that you can attribute your sales to the correct buckets. Learn more

Custom Tip Keyboard on the POS: When placing a tip through the main POS window, we've heard that customers will sometimes tip more than intended. To reduce user error, we've updated our custom tip field to have a fixed decimal place. For example, if you enter the digits 1000, you'll see a decimal place added as you type and 10.00 will appear on the screen. This is more common with other point-of-sale software and will be a more familiar experience for your customers.

ShipCompliant Extension Update: By default, orders for all states are sent to ShipCompliant, but you now have the option to send orders for specific states only. This is primarily useful when ShipCompliant and Vinoshipper are being used together. Go to the bottom of the Settings tab in the ShipCompliant extension to edit the states you want to send.
Reservation List: In the Reservations area, you can now access a list of all past and upcoming reservations from the main navigation menu on the left.

Collect Billing Address: When required for ComplianceStarting Sept 9, if a US state requires a billing address or date of birth for compliance purposes, Commerce7 will display and capture the information during Checkout and Club Signup online. As adding these new fields lengthens the process for your customers, we only capture the information when it's required by the state so that your conversion rates don't take a hit and you're able to remain compliant. Please note: These updates will be rolled out to clients throughout the week.

Primary Billing Contact: Your billing contact email address is now editable inside Commerce7 under Settings > Billing. This contact will receive emailed invoices for your Commerce7 subscription.
Commerce7 Invoice Changes for US Customers: Due to changes in tax regulations, starting Sept 4, 2024, taxes will be charged on monthly invoices. The tax amount is calculated based on the billing address associated with your account and your state's taxability of services. If your state does not charge tax, this change will not affect you. The primary purpose of this role is for migrating data. Preview your Transaction Emails: Easily send a preview to yourself of your transaction emails to see how they'll appear in your customers' inboxes. Particularly useful when testing out a new email theme or while you're onboarding with Commerce7. Prevent Duplicate Customer Carts in the POS: Avoid accidentally starting multiple carts for the same customer. When a customer is added to a cart in the POS, we now check to see if they have any other carts open. If they do, you'll see a prompt asking if you want to continue with a separate cart or combine both carts into one.

Inventory Permissions on the POS: Previously, accounts with Basic or Standard access could not view or adjust inventory on the POS. While they still cannot adjust inventory, by long-pressing on a product they can now view inventory counts and see the available stock.

Open Carts on the POS: When there are lot of carts started on the POS at once, it's difficult to keep track of which tab at the top is for which customer. To help with this, we've introduced a new window where you can view all carts assigned to you with the table, customer or cart name, the order total and last updated date. Click a cart from the window to open it.
Customer Name on Thermal Receipts: Thermal receipts now display the customer's name if one is attached to the order.

Kitchen Ticket Locations for the POS: Send items to the kitchen quicker through the new Kitchen Ticket Locations. Create locations and then pre-assign products to the location they should be printed at. When sending to the kitchen on the POS, select all of the items and they'll be printed to their various locations at once without the need to select a printer. You can also now turn off preparation for a product to exclude them from being sent. Learn more

Order Export Tax Breakdown: When exporting orders using either the Order or Order Detail format, in addition to the Tax Total you'll see new columns breaking down taxes for each order. A column has been added for each possible tax; your country's taxes and any custom taxes you've created. You will also see columns for other country taxes which may be blank.

Admin Notification Emails: The notification emails sent to Admins have been given a little refresh and a couple have been improved with additional details. The “New Order” notification now includes the order time, customer email, and the shipping address or pickup location. The “New Reservation” notification now includes the experience type, reservation time, customer name and email, guest count, and any reservation notes.

Built-In Tax Rates [US Only]: Starting May 9, we're rolling out improvements to our built-in taxes. If you're in the US and currently using our Automatic tax rates, our latest version will provide address level rates for better accuracy. In addition, we've heard that you want the ability to adjust your local tax rates. Whether you're using Automatic or Manual rates, on each of your Inventory Locations, you'll be able to edit and override the rates charged for pickup and carryout orders for that location.

Event Tickets Sales Online: In an event ticket product, there is a new setting allowing you to hide the event ticket online after the event has started. If selected, this will automatically setting the Web Status to Not Available, but leaving the Admin and POS status as/is so that staff can continue to sell the ticket if needed for walk-ins.

Customize Club Member Flexibility: While we always recommend giving members the option to cancel or skip their shipments online, you can now customize these options. On a club package, you can select whether members can see the option to skip that shipment online. Inside your club settings, you can choose to allow members to cancel online.
- If you previously had your designer disable the options online, reach out to them to adjust so that you can fully enable/disable them from Admin. We encourage you to try offering more flexibility for your club. Read about the benefits here.
Corporate Order PDF Receipts: Once a corporate order has been charged, you can now print a PDF receipt that contains a breakdown of each recipient including order SKUs, shipping, and totals, along with a summary of the totals, shipping and taxes for the entire corporate order.

Add Instructions for Event Tickets: You can now add special instructions for customers attending a specific event. In each of your event ticket products, there is a new field for Email Instructions. Instructions can then be included in the Event Ticket Confirmation email by adding the tag.
PAX Device Receipt Printing: If using the PAX a920 Pro EMV device, when payment is complete on the POS, there is a new button to print a receipt directly from the device.

Email Domain Security with DMARC / DKIM: New security standards from Google and other emailing platforms are starting to require that you enable DMARC / DKIM in your domain name registrar. While your domain name registrar is outside of Commerce7, if these settings are enabled and your email security has been increased for your domain name, you'll need an additional update inside of Commerce7 so that transaction emails will continue to send. If you have access to Settings, under Email, you'll see a new area for Email Sending. Register your domain to generate additional DNS entries for DMARC and DKIM. Read more here

Collect Customer Details for Event Ticket Sales Online: If an order being placed online includes a product not being shipped, like an event ticket, guest customers will now be asked for First Name, Last Name, and Phone in addition to Email. This ensures that you have the customer details required to check them in.
New App: ShipStation Custom Store: MarsBytes Apps has created a new app that allows you to sync orders from Commerce7 to ShipStation for fulfillment. Fulfillment through ShipStation will then be synced back to Commerce7 to fulfill orders automatically. Learn more

Quickly Assign a Table to a POS Cart: While adding a cart, when you search for a customer, you will see a new table icon appear on the right. Click it to add the customer and assign a table right away. If you're adding a customer to an existing order, the same icon and option will appear. (You can still assign or edit a table after the cart is created through the actions menu.)
View Reservation Numbers and/or Assigned Tables from the POS Cart: Carts that are attached to reservations, will now display the reservation number and assigned table in the cart summary. The reservation number can be clicked to quickly go to the reservation and the table number can be clicked to edit the assigned table in the POS.

Ability to Undo Reservation Check-In: If you check in a reservation accidentally, you now have the ability to undo it from the actions dropdown, updating the reservation to the previous status. If the reservation was already charged on check-in, payment will not be affected and they will not be charged in the future.
CRV Fee with Avalara: If you are using Avalara for taxes, the California Redemption Value fee is now integrated and will be applied automatically to applicable California orders.

Reporting for Product Bundles: When a product bundle is sold, the Closing and Sales By SKU reports now attribute sales to the sub SKUs rather than the main bundle SKU to allow for more accurate reporting. For example, previously product bundle taxes could not be included in the Sales by SKU report, with this change, sales and taxes are attributed to the sub SKUs instead.

Override Taxes on an Order: Tax values can now be overridden on Orders or Refunds. If you need to make an individual tax or custom tax set to $0.00 for a Customer, you can now do so through Admin or the POS. California Redemption Value fee (CRV): To comply with updates to the California Beverage Container Recycling Program, Commerce7 will automatically calculate and apply the California Redemption Value fee to applicable California.
