Configuring Operating Countries

Operating countries are the places that you offer shipping for customers. On the Commerce7 platform, a customer will be able to buy a product using any billing address in the world, but due to laws and regulations of different government bodies, wine and other alcohol products can only be shipped to certain states and countries.

Here, you'll select the countries, states, and provinces that you offer shipping to. (Shipping rates should be configured here.) The settings in this section are the defaults used for all products (wine + non-wine), but if you have an item with no or less restrictions such as a shirt, you can override the operating countries for that individual product.   1. In Admin, go to Settings > Operating Countries
  2. Click the pencil icon beside Canada, United States, Australia, and/or New Zealand
    to allow shipping and select the specific states or provinces that you operate in.
  3. Select the checkbox if you do allow shipping, or leave the checkbox blank if you don't allow shipping. 

  4. If you ship somewhere else in the world, click the pencil icon next to "Rest of the World" to select individual countries.

  5. Once you're done, click Save
