Order Channel Definitions + How to Switch Channels on a Cart/Unprocessed Order

What is an Order Channel?

Order Channels identify where an Order originated in Commerce7.

Available Order Channels

  • Web - Orders originated on your website 
  • POS - Orders originated on your POS 
  • Inbound - Orders originated on your Admin Panel
  • Club - Orders originated from the Club section of your website


Changing an Order Channel in Admin

Channels can only be changed prior to the order being completed / processed.

  1. Go to the cart in the Admin Panel under Store >  Carts > select a Cart.

  2. By default, the Cart/Order will display the Channel where it originated, but you can use the dropdown to select a different Channel.

    1. The Channel can only be changed to 'Club' if the member attached to the order is a Club Member.
    2. You will only see the "POS" or "Web" channels if the order was started on the POS or online.
  3. Click the Save Channel button.

Changing an Order Channel in POS

You have the ability to change an Order Channel while in the POS as well. 

  1. In the POS Cart, click the down-arrow - and click Additional Order Info.

  2. Choose the applicable Channel and click the Save Order Info button. Note you will only see the 'Club' option if a Club Member is attached to the Cart.
