Why doesn't Commerce7 require a Billing Address on V2?

Commerce7's core focus is to provide your Customers with the most streamlined, modern purchasing experience as possible. Billing address is not required by the credit card companies, so we do not collect it on V2. This makes for a much faster checkout with fewer clicks for your Customer - which translates into higher conversion rates.

V1 vs V2

V1 of Commerce7 requires a Billing Address, whereas V2 does not. Similar to the Baymard Research study, we found that there is a significant conversion rate increase when we do not require it (18%).
