Stacking Discounts for Club Members

Configuring Discounts so that Club Members receive applicable (multiple) discounts

Example:

• You are running a 15% promotion on your Chardonnay for all Customers.
• Your Club Members receive 20% discounts off of anything they purchase.

The objective is to ensure that Club Members enjoy both the 15% discount on Chardonnay and their 20% Club discount, but this combination applies exclusively to the Chardonnay. For all other items in the order, only the standard 20% Club discount will be applied.

Stacking Discounts for Club Members (Club Discount + Specific Products)

Step 1: Set up the Chardonnay Promotion

1. Go to Settings > Orders > Promotions.
2. Click the Create Promotion button.
3. Title it and choose your Start/End dates.
4. Type: Product Discount.
5. Customers: All Customers.
   
6. Discount Type: Percentage Off
7. Discount: 15%
8. Products: Specific Products
9. Search for and choose the applicable Product(s)
   
10. Requirements: None
11. Click the Save Promotion button.
    

Step 2: Set up the Club Promotion

1. Go to Settings > Orders > Promotions.
2. Click the Create Promotion button.
3. Title it and choose your Start/End dates.
4. Type: Product Discount.
5. Customers: Specific Clubs.
   
   
6. Search for and choose the applicable Clubs and Frequencies (if Subscription Club(s).
   
   
7. Discount Type: Percentage Off
8. Discount: 20%
9. Products: Store
10. Excluded Products: None
    
11. Requirements: None
12. Click the Save Promotion button.
    

Put both Promotions into a Promotion Set

1. Go to Settings > Orders > Promotion Sets.
2. Click the Add Promotion Set button.
   
3. Search for and add any applicable Promotions for Coupons that you'd like to stack.
4. Click the Save Promotion Set button.
   

Test the Promotion Set on Your Site

1. Log into your site as a Club Member.
2. Add items to your Cart that would be eligible for both the 15% and the normal 20% Club discount. 
3. If working correctly, the 20% discount will apply to all items in the Cart, while the additional 15% discount should only apply to the Chardonnay.
