Installing a Printer Certificate - MacOS

  1. Ensure that you have created an SSL certificate and have it saved on your computer.
  2. The certificate needs to be installed in the Keychain Access section of MacOS. 
  3. Open Spotlight and search for Keychain Access.

  4. Navigate to the Certificates tab within KeyChain Access.
  5. Drag the certificate from your downloads folder into the Certificates section of KeyChain Access.
  6. The certificate should appear as untrusted and have a red x icon. Double click on the certificate to open the Get Info modal.

  7. Expand the Trust section within the more info modal.

  8. Update 'When using this certificate' to Always Trust.

  9. Click the red closing icon in order to save the setting and close the modal. You will be prompted to enter your mac password to save the changes.

  10. To test to see if the certificate is installed correctly you can navigate to the URL in Google Chrome [i.e. tastingbar-sandbox-c7-development-josh.local.commerce7.com] and you should no longer see the “Your connection is not private”. 
  11. Log in to the POS and attempt to print a thermal receipt.
