Installing a Printer Certificate - iPad
- Follow the instructions to create an SSL certificate on either MacOS or Windows to create a .cer file and email that file to yourself.
- Access your email and click on the .cer file that is attached to the email.
- The file should download to your ipad and you should see a popup which says “Profile Downloaded. Review the profile in the Settings app if you want to install it”.
- Locate the Settings icon on your iPad and navigate to General > VPN & Device Management. You should be able to search for the word “Profile” to easily access the section as well.
- Click on the SSL profile you downloaded under the Downloaded Profile section.
- Click Install in the upper right corner of the modal.
- Click Install on the warning modal.
- Once complete the profile should display that it is verified.
- The certificate must also be “Trusted”. Navigate to Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust settings or search “Certificates”.
- Toggle the switch next to the certificate to active (green), which should open the “Root Certificate” modal. Click Continue in the modal to complete the trust setup.
- Login to the POS and attempt to print a thermal receipt.
