Ingencio EMV Terminals Require Update
Some Ingenico EMV Move 5000 and Lane3000 terminals have not received updates and are at risk of no longer working (Feb 29, 2024)
What does this mean for you?
- An email may have been sent to one or more Admin/Owner account recipients at your company. If you did not receive the email, then your devices are already updated and no further action is needed.
- Please co-ordinate with your IT department or IT provider to to open port 7003 on your network and ensure your EMV terminals are turned on and connected to your network/internet and reply back when this is completed. See below for details.
- If you have Ingenico Lane3000 or Move5000 terminals that you no longer use, let us know and we will provide details of the terminal serial numbers that are missing updates.
Opening and testing port 7003 on your network (Your IT person can do this)
- Your IT provider may need to update your firewall rules to permit outbound internet access for port 7003 to temterminalsnar01.icloud.ingenico.com.
Testing the Port
Test to confirm the port is open by running the following command from a Windows command prompt or powershell session or Mac terminal window that is on the same network/vlan/wifi as the Ingenico terminals.
*Note if curl is not installed you will need to install it.
Command to run:
curl -vLI temterminalsnar01.icloud.ingenico.com:7003
You should see this response: (Note the IP address may be different)
