How does a refund affect my Inventory counts?
When processing a refund, there is a checkbox labeled Return Inventory, which determines if inventory will be added back for the refund Order. This can be defined for each Product in the return.
When checked as 'Yes', the inventory will be added back to the Available for Sale inventory count. This update will decrease the Allocated inventory count.
Inventory for Refunds go back to the original Location.
If the item needs to be returned to a different Location than the one it was originally shipped or picked up from, you will need to make a manual adjustment in the Inventory section of Commerce7.
Once the refund is processed, you can update the shipping status for the original Order to No Fulfillment Required.
