Finding Transaction ID Based on Last 4-Digits of Credit Card in Pulse (Merchant Track) - Fullsteam Payments

Identifying Transaction ID in Pulse (Merchant Track) based on Last 4-digits, so that you can cross-reference in Commerce7 (Fullsteam payments)

There are times when you might need to dig a little deeper to identify a transaction.

Finding the Transaction ID in Pulse (Merchant Track) can assist with cross-referencing within Commerce7. You can do this based on several factors, but a common one is using the last 4-digits of the card used. This is particularly useful when you do not have the Customer naem.

  1. In Commerce7, Go to Reports > Finance Reports.

  2. Choose Pulse Access (Merchant Track).
  3. Click the Transaction Search button.
  4. Enter in the Last 4 digits of the card in question.
  5. Click the Search button.

  6. Find the applicable transaction (based on date, amount and/or name, if provided). 
  7. Click on the transaction ID to see additional information. (For instance, if you see that it's a recurring charge, it would be an indication that the Customer is a Clubmember).

  8. Lastly, COPY the Transaction ID and head back into Commerce7. 
  9. Go to Reports > Finance Reports > Gateway Transactions Report.

  10. PASTE the Transaction ID in the search field.
  11. Take note of the Order Number so that you can go take a look at it.

  12. The Order should give you any further information you need to properly reconcile the transaction.
