Identifying Transaction ID in Merchant Track based on Last 4-digits, so that you can cross-reference in Commerce7 (Fullsteam payments)
There are times when you might need to dig a little deeper to identify a transaction.
Finding the Transaction ID in Merchant Track can assist with cross-referencing within Commerce7. You can do this based on several factors, but a common one is using the last 4-digits of the card used. This is particularly useful when you do not have the Customer naem.
- In Commerce7, Go to Reports > Finance Reports.
- Choose Merchant Track Access.
- Click the Transaction Search button.
- Scroll down to the Account Last 4 field. Enter the last 4 digits of the card and Search.
- Find the applicable transaction (based on date, amount and/or name, if provided).
- Click on the transaction ID to see additional information. (For instance, if you see that it's a recurring charge, it would be an indication that the Customer is a Clubmember).
- Lastly, COPY the Transaction ID and head back into Commerce7.
- Go to Reports > Finance Reports > Gateway Transactions Report.
- PASTE the Transaction ID in the search field.
- Take note of the Order Number so that you can go take a look at it.
- The Order should give you any further information you need to properly reconcile the transaction.
