Understanding the Fee/Tax charged by BC wineries shipping to Alberta (and how to disable it)
What is it?
This is a fee that should be charged by BC wineries when shipping to Alberta.
When is it charged?
If wine is being shipped from BC to Alberta, Commerce7 will automatically calculate and apply the fee to the Order.
How is it calculated?
The fee is calculated using each Product's (wine) alcohol percentage.
Can the fee be disabled from applying?
Yes. If you do not want to collect the fee, you can disable it under Custom Taxes here.
- Go to Settings > Taxes > Custom Taxes.
- Click the pencil icon.
- Uncheck the applicable box and click the Save Fees button.
