Switching a Terminal from one Tenant to Another

Do you have multiple tenants and need to move a terminal from one to another?

This requires removing the terminal from the original MerchantTrack account - and then adding it to the new one.

  1. Log into the original MerchantTrack Account.
  2. Click on Terminals.
  3. Choose applicable Terminal ID.
  4. Click the Remove button.
  5. If the terminal is still connected via WiFi (Move5000) or ethernet (Lane3000), you will be presented with a new Activation Code.
  6. Depending on your device, follow these instructions to add the Activation Code to the MerchantTrack Account to you are moving the device to.

Note: After entering the new Activation Code into the destination MerchantTrack account, you will be assigned a new Terminal ID. Be sure to copy this new Terminal ID into the Commerce7 POS Profile, following the instructions provided in the link above.
