Setting up the your Custom Fee in ShipCompliant
Because this amount is not sent over to ShipCompliant as a tax, ShipCompliant requires a 'Key' to be created, otherwise it will give an error when checking compliance: “Product matching given BrandKey/ProductKey is not available [,CRV]“.
Setting up the Key in ShipCompliant
-
Log into ShipCompliant.
-
Go to Setup > Products.
-
Add a Product.
-
Select the Product Type of General Merchandise.
-
Enter a Key. IMPORTANT:This Key must match the Custom Fee title from Commerce7.

-
Select your Supplier and Brand. (The rest of the details can be left blank).
-
Click Save.

Note: You only need to set up one Custom Fee product, even if you have multiple brands. Brand information isn’t sent through the ShipCompliant integration, so the fee will pass through correctly as long as a product with the matching Key exists.
If you have questions about how to make this change in ShipCompliant, please reach out to ShipCompliant's support for assistance in updating it.
Any applicable taxes are added on top of Custom Fee amount collected. Customers cannot change this setting.

Using Integrations?
Before you add a custom fee or turn on either Collect tax setting, it’s important to talk to your developer or integration partner. They will need to update the integration to pull in the new values. If you aren’t using any integrations, you can turn them on right away.
