Commerce7 Live - 2020

Here's what was unveiled.

New Subscription Club:

  • Members control the frequency (in months).  If they sign up on the 14th of the month and they want to join monthly, they’ll always get a shipment on the 14th. 
  • System auto select products for a member based on the members unique preferences.  Winery has the option to create rules around products.
  • Pricing is controlled by coupons and promotions.
  • Members are auto notified via email 2 weeks before shipment, 2 days before shipment, and auto notified on credit card decline.
  • Members can add any available product in the ecommerce store to their next package.
  • Member can skip packages (but there is no “hold” feature)
  • Clubs are automatically processed on a daily basis. As a winery you are notified of failed packages.
  • Winery can easily see upcoming shipment and view inventory requirements for those shipments.
  • Members automatically receive a shipment when signing up from the web.  In the POS and Admin Panel the winery can set when the customer receives their first shipment.

Subscription clubs are being rolled out throughout the month.  All of our documentation will be updated accordingly.

Changes to Traditional Club:

  • Pricing is controlled by coupons and promotions.
  • By default members are auto notified via email 2 weeks before shipment, 2 days before shipment, and auto notified on credit card decline.  (Winery can change this).
  • Members can add any available product in the ecommerce store to their next package.
  • Replace “holds” with skip packages (anyone currently on hold will stay on hold till the expiry date).  Members can skip up to the next 5 packages.
  • Club Packages will be auto processed on the process date.
  • Winery can easily view inventory requirements for the package.
  • On signup from the web, winery has the option to automatically send the member the previous package.  

Traditional clubs changes are being rolled out throughout the month.  All of our documentation will be updated accordingly.

New Gift Club:

  • Similar to traditional clubs but no user choice.
  • Membership benefits both the gifter and the giftee.
  • Gifter can set limits on club (for example one year only)

New Website Checkout

  • Streamlined to minimal amount of forms
  • Auto capture of email address (without clicking the submit button)
  • Full name (rather than First Name / Last Name)
  • Company field is hidden with the ability for a customer to toggle it on
  • Address Line 2 is hidden with the ability for a customer to toggle it on
  • Zip code will lookup City/State (for USA, Canada, Australia and South Africa)
  • No birthdate field unless required by State compliance
  • No billing address unless required by State compliance
  • No name on credit card

New checkout is part of the next version of our front end.  It’s being rolled out throughout the month. It will require your designer to make some changes to your site.

New Receipt Page

  • Will ask the user to create an account if they don’t have one.
  • Will ask the user to subscribe to mailing list if they aren’t subscripted.
  • Receipt page allows for the form builder so winery can ask additional questions.

New receipt is part of the next version of our front end.  It’s being rolled out throughout the month. It will require your designer to make some changes to your site.

Other Changes To Front End

  • More product tags including a like/dislike which is on by default (and only shows when a customer has purchased the product)
  • Notification icon for customers if they have issues with their account (such as a declined credit card)
  • Club Members will see a ‘Add to Next Shipment’ throughout the site if their shipment is two weeks away or less
  • Streamlined the menu in the profile
  • Order detail page shows enhanced tracking and a map of where the package is at

New Commerce7 Dev Center

  • Allows developers to build apps deep inside Commerce7
  • Developers can create reports inside Commerce7
  • Developers can add context menu items, tabs, and even adjust customer cards in Commerce7
  • New security context so third party developers can access limited amounts of information on your site.
