Differences Between Email Marketing Statuses

Subscribed - A subscribed status is a customer who has opted in to receive email marketing.

In Commerce7 customers can opt-in for marketing everywhere a customer record is created. If you are using C7 custom forms, you can also add the opt-in or subscribe to the form. Further, if you are using our subscribe widget, all visitors to the website that add their information (i.e. email) a contact record will be created with an email marketing status of "subscribe".

Unsubscribed - An unsubscribed status is a customer who has opted out of receiving your email marketing. 

Blank - If a website visitor makes a purchase, a contact record will be created with an email marketing status that is left blank.  Further, if a website visitor completes a custom form or an account is created, the email marketing status will be left blank.
