SMS Opt-in Feature

Collect and store SMS Marketing status - which can be shared with your SMS Marketing platform

What it is

A dedicated SMS Marketing field on the customer record that gives wineries a reliable place to capture and manage customer SMS subscription status directly within Commerce7. The field is editable in the admin, included in customer exports, and available in queries for segmentation and outreach.

Why we built it

Before wineries can use SMS marketing, they need a reliable way to capture consent and manage preferences. The SMS Marketing field gives wineries the ability to start building their subscriber base now and have a single source of truth for SMS data when integrating with other software.

For each phone number on a customer record, you can capture and store an SMS Marketing Status.

Once enabled, customers will see the option to subscribe to SMS marketing in Checkout, during Club Signup, and if they're a guest customer booking a Reservation.

  1. Go to Settings > General.

  2. Go to the General section.

  3. Toggle for SMS Marketing to 'On'.
