How to Setup the UPS Shipping Tool
To get started with the UPS Shipping Tool integration, log in to Commerce7 and click on Apps & Extensions from the admin panel. Click on the UPS Shipping Tool app and a pop-up window will appear.
To set up this app, you will need to first specify if you will like the app to send Shipment Tracking emails or not. If selected, this option will automatically send an email with tracking information to your client upon uploading UPS shipping information to Commerce7.
Once you have selected your option, click on the blue button label Install.
The app will take a few minutes to install, once it’s done the pop-up window will close and you will see the UPS Shipping Tool as active under the apps menu.
How to Export a Report with UPS Shipping Tool
Now you will need to head into Reports tab in the admin panel. Once you click on Reports it will take you to the Order Reports window, scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the UPS Shipping Report option.
Click on UPS Shipping Report, this will take you to the Commerce7 UPS Shipping Report window.
To export or request a report, you will need to specify a date range for the shipping orders you would like to upload to UPS. To do so, select the Start Date for your report and the End Date. Once you have selected your date range, click on the blue button label Submit.
The system will process your request, this could take a few seconds or a few minutes depending on the range of dates and information to be exported. Once it’s done you will see your request with the status marked as Done, followed by the download button:
You will also receive a copy of your report by email, it’s important to note that these links will expire in 24 hours.
How to Import your File to UPS
The file you’ll download will be in CSV form. You will need to remove the rows of orders you do not want to create a label for.
Once your file is ready login into your UPS account. Under Shipping, select Batch File Shipping.
Select Choose File, follow the rest of the steps specified by UPS then click next and print labels.
How to Export Shipment Information from UPS
Once you have created shipping labels for your orders, you will need to export the shipping information for these orders. To do us, log in to your UPS account, under Shipping, select View Shipping History.
You will need to change the date range of your history to the current date, then click on the export button to the right. Export your file as .csv and save.
How to Import your UPS File into Commerce7
The awesome thing about our UPS Shipping Tool is that it allows you to upload your UPS process file to fulfill orders and push their tracking information back into Commerce7.
To do so, go back to Commerce7 and under Store > Orders > More Actions > Upload UPS Shipping Report
Once you click on the Upload UPS Shipping Report option a new window will open, select and upload the CSV file and click on Submit.
Once the file is uploaded the orders will be automatically marked as Fulfilled and the tracking number would be added to the orders.
