Placing a Test Order While in Onboarding
If your launch date is approaching within the next 60 days, it is recommended that you process one (or more) test orders. This step is crucial for verifying that your payment gateway is configured correctly and will initiate the PCI compliance fees.
Placing a Test Order
- Navigate to Store > select Add Order.
- Add a customer by searching or adding a new customer.
- Add a Product and click the Edit link under the Product name.
- Manually enter $1.00 to the Unit Price override field and Save.
- Charge the card.
- Wait until this charge has batched to your bank (which takes a couple of business days).
- Once the charge has batched to your bank, feel free to refund the charge.
Not launching for awhile?
If you are not launching within the next month or two and wish to delay PCI Compliance enrollment, make sure to either same day refund the test transaction - or hold off on running a test transaction until you're closer to your launch date.
