To get started with Vingo, navigate to the app store in your admin panel and click on the Vingo app.
Next, install your application by selecting the mode of the app (Staging or Production) and adding the following information: Username, Password and Client Code for Vingo’s API. You will need to request this information directly to Vingo.
NOTE: Before you start using the app it is highly recommended to verify that all products SKUs in Commerce7 match the ones you have on Vingo and that the products have inventory available on Vingo. If this is not the case, you will get an error every time an order is pushed to Vingo.
The Vingo app allows you to push shipping orders to Vingo automatically just after they are created in Commerce7.
Also, from the Commerce7 Order Detail page you will have the 3 available actions on the “More Actions” link: Send Order to Vingo, Check Order Status at Vingo and Cancel Order on Vingo.
- Send Order to Vingo: Will manually push the selected order to Vingo.
- Check Order Status at Vingo: Will return the actual order status on Vingo if the order has previously been pushed to Vingo.
- Cancel Order on Vingo: Cancel the selected order on Vingo.
The Vingo app is using the new Commerce7 App Sync feature. Inside the order detail page a new App Sync tab will appear. On this tab you will get a log of the communication between Commerce7 and Vingo. You will be able to review if the order was successfully exported to Vingo or if any errors happened during the process, so you can act accordingly.
When the order has been processed on Vingo and a carrier tracking number has been assigned to the order, that information will automatically be pushed back to Commerce7. The order will be marked as fulfilled and the tracking number will be added to it.
