Product Likes and Dislikes
Customers can like or dislike any products that they have purchased online
What it is
A feature that lets customers rate their past purchases and club shipments with a thumbs up or thumbs down directly from their account. Ratings are stored on the customer record and surfaced in Insights, giving winery staff visibility into what each customer has loved and what has not landed.
Why we built it
Knowing what a customer bought is useful. Knowing what they actually liked is powerful. Purchase history tells you what happened. Likes and Dislikes tells you how the customer felt about it, giving staff a more complete picture to personalize conversations, recommendations, and the tasting room experience.
How it works
- Like or Dislikes: Customers can like or dislike any products that they’ve purchased in the past from their account online.
- Rate Products: Customers can rate products from the individual order page - or from a Dashboard block.

- Ratings are easily accessible by staff: Once a product is rated, it appears in the customer record for staff to see under a new 'Preferences' tab, and in any 'Insights' panel in Admin, POS, or Reservations.
- Data is leveraged to personalize the customer's experience even further:
- Preference data from liked and disliked products flows into our Personalization Engine - which powers both website product recommendations ('Personal' Collections) and system-generated Subscription Club shipments.
FAQ
-
Can we report on the likes and dislikes for customer preferences?
Reporting on likes and dislikes is not available yet, but we plan to support this in the future. -
Are a customer’s likes and dislikes visible to anyone other than the customer who submitted them?
No. Likes and dislikes are private to each customer and are treated as personal preferences, not public ratings. We may offer an option to make them public in the future. -
Can staff update a customer’s likes and dislikes on their behalf - for example, if a guest in the tasting room tells you they do not enjoy a particular wine?
No, only customers can update their own preferences. -
Can we customize the look of the Like/Dislike feature - or opt out? You can work with your website designer to customize the look or hide these elements.
