This article covers how to create and execute a club member query and how to create and update an club membership tag with queries.
Create and export club membership lists/segments based on pre-set conditions with the query builder.
The query builder allows you to create lists of club members based on certain criteria such as list of expired credit cards, active and cancelled members and more.
To create queries for club membership first navigate to Marketing > Queries > Club Membership > select Add Club Membership Query.
Step 1: Configure
First, add a Title for your club membership query.
Next, use the drop down menu to choose if you want to create a club membership query that is found in or not found in the subsequent club membership conditions you setup.
Then, use the drop down menu to select;
- Club Membership with the subsequent conditions you setup
- Customers with the subsequent conditions you setup
Now you can set up club membership conditions by using the available drop down menus. For a list of possible conditions, click here.
Select OR beside the first condition if you want the club membership query to meet one of the conditions you create.
Select Add Another Condition below the conditions if you want the club membership query to meet all conditions you setup.
Once you have your conditions created, select Add Club Membership Query. The page will save all conditions that you have created and give you an overview of the query. Once you are content with the conditions you have created, select Step 2: Execute.
Note: After saving the club membership query, you have the option to 'stack' another set of conditions to apply to the query. Simply save the Club Membership Query and click Add Another Set of Conditions.
Step 2: Execute
On Step: 2 Execute you will see the title of your query and a history of last executed date and last executed count and if the query has previously been executed.
To execute your query select Execute Query.
A window will pop up with the option to Email a copy of the query results to yourself check off the box accordingly.
It's significantly faster to execute the query and not export (email) the results. You can then add a order tag to the results and work with the results within the admin panel.
Create A Club Membership Tag From a Query
After executing your query you have the option to create a tag from the results of the query. On Step 2 of your query, select Create Tag from List and enter in a title for your new club membership tag.
This will create a manual club membership tag and automatically tag all club members in the query.
Execute Query Again
Once you have created a query, you can execute the query again at anytime by selecting the query > Step 2: Execute and select Execute Query.
Step 2 will have an overview of the last executed date and time of the query. Once you have executed the query, you can create a new tag or opt to update a current tag by selecting Update Tag From List
Note: The tags you create from a query are automatic, if you execute again and create a new tag from the query, both tags will be on the club membership profile.
Updating a Tag from a Query
To update the club membership tag from a query first start by executing the query again by navigating to Step 2: Execute and select Execute Query
Once this is complete select Update Tag From List at the top.
Next, use the search field to select the title of the club membership tag you want updated and then select the Update Tag from Query button.
The tag selected will be updated with the results of the current query. You can't use the same tag for multiple queries to combine results.
