Backing Up Your Data in WineDirect
It's important to back up your data for your own record-keeping
We recommend that you export as much data as you can from WineDirect for your own records.
IMPORTANT: You'll have access to your WineDirect site for 90 days following the completion of your project, allowing you ample time to gather the necessary information.
The following are covered in the video
- Customer data:
- Go into the Admin Panel.
- Click Reports > Contacts > Contact List
- Change the date range to 01/01/1900 (or other very early date) – today’s date, this will ensure you capture all customers in the site.
- Click Export.
- Product data:
- Go into the Admin Panel.
- Click Settings > Import/Export > Product Exporter
- Change the format to “Advanced” and then click export.
- Once it is complete, click 'Download Finished' to download the document.
- Order History data:
- Go into the Admin Panel
- Click Reports > Sales > Order Detail
- Change the date range to 01/01/1900 (or other very early date) – today’s date. This will ensure you capture all orders in the site. (Sometimes it does time out and you will need to break the date range up into chunks).
- Click on Manage Filters and Select 'All Order Statuses'.
- Change Bundles to Show Individual SKU.
- Click export.
- Customer Notes:
- Go into the Admin Panel
- Click Dashboard > Notes
- On the right-hand side, choose Export Notes to begin the export.
- Contact types:
- Go into the Admin Panel
- Click Contacts > List Builders
- Click into whichever contact types/lists you would like to export
- Click Generate List
- On the right-hand side, click Download CSV. (You will need to do this for each contact type one by one).
- Club members:
- Go into the Admin Panel
- Go to Settings> Import/Export >Club Member Exporter
- Export and download file.
The following are NOT covered in the video
- Orders By Ship/Pickup Date:
- Go into the Admin Panel
- Click Reports > Sales > Orders by Ship/Pickup Date
- Change the date range to 01/01/1900 (or other very early date) – today’s date. This will ensure you capture all orders in the site. (Sometimes it does time out and you will need to break the date range up into chunks).
- Click Manage Filters
- Select 'Completed Date' under Date Type and 'Completed' under Order Status
- Click Export.
- Notes:
- Go into the Admin Panel
- Choose Dashboard>Notes and choose Export (XXX) Notes.
